TheMXC was imported into the wester US only. It porpose was to be used as a Desert bike. The close ratio trans. is better for competition use and the higher ratio 1st gear makes a big difference for riding in sandy/loose conditions. The popular thing to do was to purchase the "SX" model and put in 5th and 6th gear and an 18" wheel.

2 The accelerator pump squirts way too much! The Quick Shot INCREASES the squirt, KTMs typically need less! Throw it away, put the stock one on and by a pump diaphram for a current year Honda 450 MX bike. These changes will bring the bike to life and once the carb is right stock gearing is excellent.
